Nilson Homes will be giving away an Ipad (32 GB $599 value) on December 10, 2010 to a randomly selected individual that enters this quick, easy contest on our Facebook!
Here is how to enter to win:
1. Go the Nilson Homes Facebook at www.facebook.com/nilsonhomes and add us as a “Friend”.
2. Go to the “Photos” tab and browse through the various “Albums” of homes that we have built and “Share” your favorite album on your wall. PAY ATTENTION TO THIS PART, BECAUSE THIS IS HOW WE WILL KNOW THAT YOU HAVE ENTERED THE CONTEST! When you Share your favorite Album, you need to click on the bottom left corner link that says, “Post to Profile Instead”. It then posts the Album to your Wall. In your comment when you post, you can either: 1. Post This is my favoriteNilson Home by @Nilson Homes so that we are notified that you have done a “Tag” of Nilson Homes by entering @Nilson Homes; or 2. After you post it to your Wall, post on the Nilson Homes Wall that you Shared your favorite Nilson Home so we will be notified that you entered. Your name will be added to our list and we will randomly select a name on December 10th. If you are not contacted within 24 hours with your entry #, contact us on our Nilson Homes wall to make sure that we were notified through Facebook that you entered.
3. You can enter every 7 days up until the final deadline, but you can only enter once every 7 days.
4. Winners will be picked at Random, from random.org. and your entry number will be from the order that you posted. Random.org will be posted when the winnings are announced.
5. The Contest will start as soon as this blog is posted and will run until Friday, December 10th, 2010 at 9PM Mountain Time. Winners will be announced the following week.
6. The Ipad must be claimed prior to December 17th 2010 or we will pick a new winner. Winner must be willing to allow us to take a picture of them with the Ipad and allow us to post it on our blog and Facebook.

At Nilson Homes, we strive to build a quality home and provide a great warranty to our homeowner. We also want to provide our homeowners with tips on what they can do themselves to maintain their home. Even the best of new homes still requires the homeowner to do regular maintenance, especially in preparation for winter.
At each closing, we provide to the new homeowner a brochure called “Home Maintenance Tips for Winter”. We recently filmed some short videos to expand on what that brochure teaches. This is a compilation of those videos. Since these tips apply to any home, not just a new home, feel free to share this video with friends and family that also enjoy the privilege of owning a home.
Nilson Homes would like to congratulate their Sales and Marketing Director on his election to the Board of Directors of the Northern Wasatch Association of Realtors. Jed Nilson was nominated to run and was then elected by his fellow Realtors to serve a three year term. As a Director, he will strive to improve the already great NWAOR.
He has been a long time supporter of the Have a Heart Home project and the Community Housing Committee. He was the Co-Chair of the Community Housing Committee for 2010. Nilson Homes has built a Have a Heart Home in each of the past three years. He has played a key role in bringing the Homebuilder’s Association together with the Board of Realtors to continue the legacy of the Have a Heart Home project. That accomplishment, among others, helped his company earn the prestigious Homebuilder of the Year Award in 2008.
Jed began his career as a Realtor in 1999 as a New Home Sales Representative for Nilson Homes. Since 2002, he has worked for the company as the Sales and Marketing Director and has helped the company become a prominent builder along the Wasatch Front. He was designated as a New Home Sales Professional (CSP) in 2004 and is currently a Certified Instructor for the CSP Designation.
In recent months, he has helped launch the Young Professionals Network for the Northern Wasatch Association of Realtors as the Vice Chair for that organization. He has a longstanding record of volunteering time and effort to the Board of Realtors and to strengthening relationships between the Board and the Homebuilder’s Association. Jed welcomes the opportunity to represent his fellow Realtors.
Jed’s election to the Board of Directors is attributed to Nilson Homes’ dedication to work with Realtors in the homebuilding process. Nilson Homes has always been a supporter of the Realtor Community and appreciates all of the Realtors that have trusted us to build homes for their clients over the years.
